The seven-month-old Chihuahua-terrier mix became a minor celebrity in the beach-side community after he went missing one week ago.

Last night we learned that someone who saw Frum's story on television walked into the city's West L.A. Animal Service's shelter and gave Frum up.
The person's story, as we were told it, was that he bought the puppy not knowing it had allegedly been stolen. The shelter is not open until Tuesday, because of the holiday today, so owner Brooke Nasser will apparently have to wait to pick him up.
The 35-year-old, who's in the film business, told us she was visiting a friend near Pacific and 20th avenues on Jan. 12 when the two decided to walk to a restaurant for a bite.

She left the pup in her friend's gated yard. When they returned, the puppy who was given to her by a homeless woman in June, was gone.
Nasser said she believed Frum's disappearance was part of a wave of dog thefts in the area, although police said they didn't have records to prove or disprove such an idea.
