Car Accident near East Stella Road Left One Fatality
TUCSON, AZ (November 3, 2022) – Friday night, 55-year-old John Franklin Jones was killed in a two-car collision on South Kolb Road.
The crash occurred around 8:00 p.m., at the intersection of South Kolb Road and East Stella Road.
For reasons under investigation, a silver Buick, driven by 33-year-old Rasson Keyon Howell, failed to stop at a posted stop sign and collided with Jones.
Emergency responders arrived and transported the male driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment. However, 55-year-old Jones was pronounced dead two weeks later due to the extent of his injuries.
Furthermore, the other involved driver, 33-year-old Howell, was arrested by responding police at the scene.
Additionally, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
