One way to get cops' attention is crash into six parked cars. In Malibu.

Yeah, that's what deputies say John Clarke Gable, the 52-year-old son of Hollywood legend Clark Gable (1901-1960), did yesterday afternoon on Pacific Coast Highway near Malibu Pier. It landed the suspect in jail:

The first hit-and-run by a possible DUI driver was reported near the pier at 2:55 p.m., according to an L.A. County Sheriff's Department statement.

Deputies eventually took reports of six parked cars having been hit, most in the 21300 block of Pacific Coast Highway, the department stated.

The vehicle in question was a Ford Raptor truck, and the driver, deputies alleged, was one John Clarke Gable.

The progeny was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run and taken to a hospital to have his blood tested for alcohol and drugs, deputies said.

According to sheriff's inmate data, Gable remained behind bars overnight in lieu of $15,000 bail.

No one was injured, except maybe the spirit of Clark Gable.
