51-Year-Old Man Killed in Fatal Collision on Mazie Avenue

PERRIS, CA (October 1, 2021) – Thursday morning, officers identified 51-year-old John Camp of Perris, after a deadly crash on Highway 74.

The accident occurred around 5:10 a.m., at the intersection of Highway 74 and Mazie Avenue. Dispatchers arrived to the scene shortly after.

Per reports, a pickup-truck and a semi-truck collided at the intersection. However, the events leading up to the crash remain unclear.

Following the initial impact, the pickup-truck slammed into a home on 21120 Mazie Avenue and caught fire. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, Camp was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further details regarding the deadly accident have not yet been released. Although, an active investigation is still currently underway.
