Motorcycle Rider Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Juniper Flats

RIVERSIDE, CA (May 31, 2022) – A motorcycle collision on Juniper Flats claimed the life of 56-year-old John Batson on Wednesday.

The crash took place along Juniper Flats and Watson roads around 5:13 p.m., per initial reports.

According to the CHP, a motorcycle and a vehicle collided for reasons still unknown.

Emergency crews arrived and declared the rider, Batson, dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained from the collision. Furthermore, the involved driver did not sustain any injuries and remained on the scene to cooperate with law enforcement.

Meanwhile, officials have not released any information about the identity of the vehicle driver. However, authorities continue to investigate the fatal crash.

Riverside police will release updates as soon as they become available.
