They say true artists are all a little crazy, and anyone who plays trombone with four kazoos sticking out of the bell qualifies. Joey Sellers makes some of the craziest sounds ever on the trombone, which belies his complete mastery over music: As a performer who honed his abilities in New York with Conrad Herwig, Dave Liebman and Kenny Wheeler, and as an award-winning composer with scores of scores to his name. Sellers will feature new music for his big band, the Jazz Aggregation, an assemblage of L.A.'s finest jazz musicians, and an agglomeration of some beautifully unusual musical sounds.
