Female Passenger Killed in Multi-Car Crash near Marysville Boulevard
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 28, 2022) – Sunday, Joel Jimenez-Cervante was arrested and a woman was killed in a DUI crash on Dry Creek Road.
Police responded to the incident around 4:15 p.m., in the area of Dry Creek Road and Marysville Boulevard.
According to the investigators, 25-year-old Jimenez-Cervante caused a collision while under the influence. Although, further circumstances leading up remain unclear.
Police also pointed out that at least three vehicles were involved.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, one female passenger succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. In addition, paramedics transported two others to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Following preliminary investigations, authorities booked Joel Jimenez-Cervante into the Sacramento County Jail for DUI charges and vehicular manslaughter.
