Joey Keck Arrested after Deadly Hit-and-Run Accident on Ross Avenue
EL CENTRO, CA (May 19, 2022) – A hit-and-run on Lotus Avenue claimed the life of 89-year-old Joe Puga Monday evening.
According to reports, the crash happened around 7:10 p.m. Officers say a gray Nissan SUV struck Puga and continued driving north on Lotus Avenue.
Eventually, medical responders arrived at the scene and transported Puga to El Centro Regional Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
On Tuesday, authorities managed to locate the suspect’s vehicle in a rural area of the county.
Officers arrested and booked the hit-and-run driver, 25-year-old Joey Keck, of El Centro to Imperial County Jail.
No other information about the crash is available at the moment. However, authorities shall release additional updates once available.
