Bicycle-Auto Collision Near West Yokuts Avenue Left 64-Year-Old Man Dead

STOCKTON, CA (July 21, 2023) – Tuesday night, Joaquin Carrasco Jr. sustained fatal injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Pacific Avenue.

Officers responded to the collision shortly after 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and West Yokuts Avenue.

Upon arrival, the first responders declared the male bicyclist dead at the scene. However, the circumstances that led up to the collision remain unclear.

The San Joaquin County Medical Excaminer’s Office later identified the deceased man as 64-year-old Joaquin Carrasco Jr. of Stockton.

At this time, the Stockton Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who can give information that will lead to the suspect’s arrest.

Authorities are asking anyone with additional information about the fatal hit-and-run to contact 209-937-8777.
