55-Year-Old Woman Killed When A Small RTC Bus Struck Her on Sahara Avenue

LAS VEGAS, NV (May 11, 2021) – 55-year-old Joanne Angelo died Tuesday morning following an auto-pedestrian accident on Sahara Avenue.

The deadly crash happened just after 9:30 a.m. on May 4, at the intersection of Sahara and Eastern Avenue.

According to NHP, the woman was crossing north on Eastern in the crosswalk when she was hit by a 2018 Ford Econoline bus turning right onto Sahara.

Due to the impact of the collision, the woman was knocked down on the ground and the rear tires of the Ford ran over her.

Paramedics rushed her to Sunrise Hospital’s trauma unit, but she later died.

Meanwhile, the bus driver, Steven Kooser, 68, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
