71-Year-Old Woman Killed in Chain-Reaction Crash near Main Street in Corona

CORONA, CA (April 22, 2021) – 71-year-old Joan McKee was killed in a fatal DUI accident on 91 Freeway, Saturday evening.

The fatal six-vehicle crash happened just after 5:53 p.m., on April 17. Emergency crews arrived on the eastbound lanes of 91 Freeway near Main Street.

Per reports, 41-year-old Adrian Antonio was traveling at about 90 mph in a Ford Windstar van. He eventually slammed into the rear of a Chrysler Voyager, causing a chain-reaction accident.

Due to the impact of the crash, McKee and her passenger inside the Voyager were ejected from the car. The driver identified as Joan McKee, of Huntington Beach, was declared dead on scene.

Meanwhile the male passenger was hospitalized after suffering major injuries.

Authorities later arrested Antonio upon his release from the hospital. He was booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of murder and driving while intoxicated.
