Jingle Ball the Way: The people at KIIS FM have put together a stellar bill for the return of their Jingle Ball. Ed Sheeran, BTS, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Lil Nas X, The Kid LAROI, Saweetie, Black Eyed Peas, Tate McRae, Bazzi and Dixie D’Amelio all perform.

That’s a wonderful blend of pop, hip-hop and R&B. In particular, seeing Saweetie (fresh from her SNL appearance), Doja Cat and Dua Lipa on the same night will be a treat. Will Doja Cat and Saweetie perform their “Best Friend” single together?

Black Eyes Peas will offer a throwback of sorts. And who is shaking up the world more than Lil Nas X right now? It’s gonna be wild.

The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 3 at the Forum.

Back in January, we wrote of Saweetie and Doja Cat’s “Best Friend” single:

Apparently, Saweetie was pissed when her label, Warner, dropped her “Best Friend” single onto Apple, Spotify, etc a month early. She released a statement to say:

“I am extremely disappointed in my label WBR for prematurely releasing a single I was so excited about,” she said in a statement. “I feel disrespected. I’m hands on with ALL of my creative & had such a dope rollout for ‘best friends’. The thirst for clout & $ is real & it overrides the artists’ art.”

But all’s well that ends well. The song has received a proper release now,  and it’s a banger with Saweetie and the equally glorious Doja Cat trading lines and putting men in their place for their toxic masculinity.

“That’s my best friend, she a real bad b&*ch / Drive her own car, she don’t need no Lyft,” raps Sweetie. Doja Cat responds, “If she ride for me, she don’t need a key.”

“Best Friend” is out now.
