Two Pronounced Dead after Head-On Collision near Shaw Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (October 27, 2022) – Friday night, Jimmy Saravia was injured and another was killed in a head-on crash on Highway 33.

The incident occurred around 11:04 p.m., near Shaw Avenue on October 21st.

Per reports, the female driver of a Ford was heading north when she veered into the southbound lanes and collided with an oncoming vehicle towing a two-axle flatbet trailer.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the driver of the Ford and her male passenger dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Saravia suffered minor injuries. A large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, it was unknown why the vehicle drifted to the southbound lanes. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
