57-Year-Old Driver Dead after Semi-Truck Plows into Traffic near Indian School Road

PHOENIX, AZ (September 4, 2024)Jimmy Orama died early Wednesday afternoon, in a semi-truck crash on 12th Street and Indian School Road.

Authorities received dispatch calls at approximately 12:45 p.m., on August 28th.

Investigators the driver of a westbound semi-truck failed to stop at a red light, triggering a chain-reaction crash. A white sedan was dragged and became fully lodged underneath the semi-truck, trapping the driver inside.

Despite rescue efforts, medics pronounced the sedan’s driver, 57-year-old Orama, dead at the scene. Authorities evaluated the truck driver and found no signs of impairment.
