Rosh Hashanah items from Clementine in Century City are available by advance order for pickup beginning Friday, Sept. 23 through Monday, Sept. 26. The cafe is closed on Sundays. Gifts for a sweet New Year include buttery 100% Virgin Clover Honey from Blue Sage Honey Co. and Massey Honey Co. Wildflower Honey. Each jar of the latter purchased directly supports Massey’s efforts in honey bee sustainability and community education through good beekeeping practices and beehive rescues. Holiday catering specials include classic matzo ball soup, rugelach, braised beef brisket, honey-glazed carrots and tender honey cake.

Discover kosher wine gems from Israel, California, Italy and France, whose wine-producing regions have had an exceptional year for kosher wine production. Wine expert Gabriel Geller, director of PR for Royal Wine Corp, the largest producer, exporter and importer of kosher wines and spirits, suggests Herzog Lineage Momentus and organic-certified, no-sulfites-added Herzog Variations Be-leaf Cabernet Sauvignon, which both pair well with beef and other traditional holiday meats.

There’s also Terra di Seta from Tuscany, the first fully kosher winery in Europe since 2008 that offers world-class and competitive Chianti Classico wines, which is about to release for the first time a Super Tuscan called Guiduccio.

Treat the family to a Jewish New Year dinner at Lawry’s The Prime Rib. There’s a special pre-fixe dinner special available from Sunday, Sept. 25 through Thursday, Sept. 27. The menu includes challah and sliced apples with honey, matzo ball soup, Lawry’s famous original spinning bowl salad, a choice of California cut roasted prime rib of beef with mashed potatoes and creamed corn or pan-seared rainbow trout with a potato latke plus almond-crusted puff pastry with a raspberry roulade for dessert. The menu is $75 per person and $40 for children under 12.
