30-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident near Berkshire Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 9, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, Jesus Omar Flores Urias died in a hit-and-run crash on South Union Avenue.

The incident happened on September 3rd, in the 7300 block of South Union Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene around 3:13 a.m.

According to reports, Urias was walking in the area when he was fatally struck by a dark sedan. The impact of the collision left Urias with serious injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle failed to stop and render aid to the victim.

Upon arrival, officers found Urias lying on the highway with extreme wounds. Due to the extent of his injuries, medics later pronounced 30-year-old Urias dead at the scene.
