Jerry Peace Activist Rubin — yes that's his real name — says Wednesday will mark the 100th day of his “Anti-Tea Party Protest Fast” aimed at right-wing blowhards such as Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin.

The activist, who's running for a seat on the Santa Monica City Council, says in a statement that he's “tired but hanging in there.” Although his wife reported Rubin lost 30 pounds, he says he's fine and will quit if his health is ever in danger. He says he's surviving on juice, vegetable broth, soy milk, vitamins, minerals and flax oil.

The fast is aimed “against the misguided rhetoric and mentality of Glenn Beck, Sarah

Palin and the Tea Party in general,” according to a statement from Rubin.

Those who want to support Rubin's crusade can find anti-Tea Party bumper stickers at his daily weekend “outreach table” at Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica.
