Two Dead after Fatal Pedestrian Accident on North Harbor Drive

SAN DIEGO, CA (February 7, 2022) – A pedestrian crash on Harbor Drive left Jerome Zimmer and Madelyn Zimmer dead early Thursday night.

The fatal collision happened on the 5000 block of North Harbor Drive around 6:00 p.m.

Furthermore, San Diego Harbor Police said a man in an unidentified vehicle was traveling at high speeds.

Eventually, his vehicle struck two people crossing the street in the 5000 block of North Harbor Drive. Paramedics declared the two victims, 71-year-old Jerome Zimmer and 69-year-old Madelyn Zimmer dead at the scene.

Meanwhile the man who was driving the car was said to be between the age of 35 and 45. He cooperated with the investigation and remained at the scene.

Moreover, both directions of the roadway shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
