Traffic Accident on Alamar Avenue Left Police Officer Injured

SANTA BARBARA, CA (May 2, 2022) – Authorities arrested 40-year-old Jeremy Patterson after a DUI crash on Alamar Avenue.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on April 15th,  in the 200 block of West Alamar Avenue.

According to reports, an officer was completing a report in his patrol vehicle when he was rear-ended and sideswiped, injuring the officer.

At this time, the injuries sustained by the police officer are still unspecified.

Meanwhile, authorities identified the suspect driver as Santa Barbara resident Jeremy Joe Patterson.

CHP eventually arrested him on DUI causing bodily harm, driving with a suspended license, and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.

Santa Barbara officials continue to investigate the incident.
