It looks like NBA star Jeremy Lin, who was reportedly traded to the Lakers by Houston, picked the right place to ply his trade.

Not only does Los Angeles, arguably the American metropolis with the most people of Asian heritage, have a massive fan base waiting anxiously for Lin's first 3-pointer, but it also now has free housing for him.

Craigslist ad posted over the weekend is offering the point guard a free room in lovely Redondo Beach:

My Chinese American mom, a former schoolteacher and a HUGE Lakers fan, thinks that my parents' house would be a great place for Jeremy Lin, if he needs a place to crash when he moves to LA. Mom thought it would be a good idea to put this on the internet just in case it finds its way to Jeremy.

Amenities include a locale two blocks from the beach, nearby Asian churches, and a short drive to the Lakers' El Segundo practice facility. (It also seems to us like every other pro athlete in town lives just up the coast, in Manhattan Beach).

There are a few caveats, however. If Lin takes up the offer he must “pick up after” himself, do his own laundry and, uh, “also provide tickets to Lakers games.”

The ad's writer says Lin can even carpool to Staples Center with the family. “Yes, these are all things that my mom actually said to me,” the post reads.

The blogger Angry Asian Man vouches for this particular Los Angeles mom:

I actually know this person, and she is, hands down, the biggest Laker fan I know.
