As we mentioned in our March interview with Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, Jeremy Fox, the highly acclaimed former chef of Ubuntu in Napa, is coming to Animal. Fox will be working with the Animal chefs on a vegetable intensive, prixe fix, multi-course menu from May 17th through the 23rd.

While the menu will be vegetarian with vegan accommodations, the Animal boys do not intend to freeze out their typically carnivorous clientele. “Hopefully we will draw as many meat eaters as vegetarians,” said Dotolo. “What's also exciting is this is the first time we will be doing a tasting-style menu at Animal. It's also fun for our cooks to change things up a little bit. We love vegetables just as much as Jeremy does. That's just his style. It's something that might not make sense to some people, but to us good food is good food, no matter the form or context. I think vegetables are as exciting as meat is.”

Reservations are required, though the bar will be held for walk-ins. For reservations, call (323) 782-9225 after 2pm.
