Head-On Collision near Bogard Visitor Center Leaves Woman Dead

LASSEN COUNTY, CA (January 12, 2023) – Tuesday evening, a head-on crash on Highway 44 left one dead and Jeremy Card, Sebastion Jones, and Debbie Guaspari-Larosa injured.

The incident happened at around 5:19 p.m. on Highway 44, just east of the Bogard Visitor Center.

According to reports, a 2009 Ford-150, going eastbound, collided with a 2006 Buick, going westbound. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after and pronounced the driver of the Buick, a 51-year-old woman, from Provo, Utah, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the passengers of the Buick; 47-year-old Jeremy Card, of Provo, Utah; 27-year-old Sebastion Jones, of Provo, Utah; and the driver of the F-150, 66-year-old Debbie Guaspari-Larosa, of Napa, to Banner Lassen Medical Center for treatment.
