Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash near Calaveras Big Trees State Park

LIVERMORE, CA (September 5, 2022) – Monday, Jensen Ybarra lost his life in a solo-car collision on Highway 4.

The crash took place on August 15, at around 9:25 p.m., near Calaveras Big Trees State Park, north of Arnold.

According to reports, Ybarra was driving alone on a 2018 Land Rover eastbound on Highway 4, when for reasons still not known, he lost control of the vehicle and ended up crashing into a tree. The impact of the collision caused the car to burst into flames and trapped him inside.

Responding officers arrived at the site of the accident shortly after and pronounced 35-year-old Jensen Ybarra dead at the scene.

Additionally, family and friends of Ybarra set up a GoFundMe page to help with his funeral expenses.
