Bicycle-Auto Collision near West Lane Frontage Road Left One 26-Year-Old College Student Dead

STOCKTON, CA (December 20, 2022) – A bicycle-auto collision at UEI College in Stockton claimed the life of Jennifer Ruiz, officials said Monday.

The incident happened on November 29th, near West Lane Frontage Road and Castle Oaks Drive.

According to the report, the victim was struck by a vehicle while riding her bike to the UEI College campus.

At this time, the reasons behind the collision remain unclear. However, investigators did say the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Responding medial professionals located and identified the 26-year-old bicyclist, Jennifer Ruiz, who succumbed to her injuries after being transported to the hospital.

Moreover, a large portion of the surrounding area was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Stockton Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the bicycle accident.
