44-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Accident on South Phyllis Street

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 30, 2021) – Tuesday morning, police arrested Jeffrey Dungo after a hit-and-run crash on Charleston Boulevard.

Around 5:42 a.m., police responded to the scene along East Charleston Boulevard and South Phyllis Street. According to reports, Dungo was driving a 2019 GMC Box delivery truck, west on East Charleston.

For reasons unknown, a pedestrian entered the westbound travel lanes into the path of the GMC, despite the fact that there were no designated or marked crosswalks.

As a result, the right front of the GMC collided with the pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers discovered the unresponsive 44-year-old Las Vegas man down on the roadway.

Authorities took Jeffrey Dungo, of Henderson into custody and accused him of fleeing the scene of an accident.

Dungo currently faces one felony charge of failure to stop at the scene of a fatal crash. His bail was set at $100,000.

The Clark County Coroner’s office will release the identity of the deceased man pending notification of next of kin.
