31-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Deadly Accident near El Segundo Boulevard

HAWTHORNE, CA (January 19, 2022) – Sunday morning, Jeffery Lanie died in a motorcycle crash on the 405 Freeway.

Officers received reports of the crash on the northbound lanes of the freeway near El Segundo Boulevard around 11:00 a.m.

California Highway Patrol officers said 31-year-old Lanie, and another person were riding a motorcycle and rear-ended a vehicle. However, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear.

Paramedics responded and pronounced Lanie dead, due to the extent of his condition. Meanwhile, medics rushed the passenger to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

No additional information regarding the crash has been made public at this time. However, more details will be provided once available.
