58-Year-Old Hurt in Vehicle vs Bicycle Crash on Highway 1
SANTA BARBARA, CA (February 17, 2022) – A hit-and-run on Pacific Coast Highway left UCSB staff member Jeff Sczechowski injured on Saturday.
According to the report, the incident happened around 11:10 a.m. along the Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura County.
Furthermore, the investigators said that a vehicle struck the victim riding a black mountain bike on the shoulder of northbound Highway 1.
Consequently the collision threw the bicyclist into a parked vehicle, leaving the man with significant injuries.
Eventually, the first responders arrived at the scene and transported 58-year-old Jeff Sczechowski to Ventura County Medical Center.
At this time, Santa Barbara Officials are working to identify the hit-and-run suspect.
