42-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near 59th Avenue

PHOENIX, AZ (October 27, 2021) Saturday afternoon, Jeannie Garza Montoya, was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Palm Lane.

The collision happened around 3:00 p.m., near 59th Avenue and Palm Lane, as stated by report. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.

According to investigators, a car struck Montoya and fled the scene. Due to the impact of the collision, emergency crews declared Montoya dead at the scene.

At this time, the driver’s identity and location are currently being searched by investigators.

The surrounding area was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Although, the road has since reopened.

Additionally, police shutdown both directions of the roadway for cleanup and preliminary investigations. Once available, further details will be provided.
