Motorcyclist Dead after Head-On Semi-Truck Collision near Indian Creek Lodge

DOUGLAS, CA (August 8, 2022) – Thursday, Jean Marschner was involved in a motorcycle vs big-rig crash on Highway 299 that left one woman dead.

The incident happened around 3:15 p.m., just west of Indian Creek Lodge. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

Per reports, a woman was riding a motorcycle east on the highway when she crossed over the double yellow lines. As a result, the motorcycle traveled directly into the path of the big-rig causing a head-on collision.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 58-year-old female rider dead at the scene. Although, her identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
