2 Dead after Speeding Single-Vehicle Collision on Howard Road

WESTLEY, CA (July 7, 2022) – Saturday night, Jazmin Vargas and Daniela Orozco were killed in a speeding accident on Frank Cox Road.

The incident occurred around 10:49 p.m., near the intersection of Howard Road and Frank Cox Road.

Per reports, 26-year-old Vargas was driving with her 15-year-old niece, Orozco, eastbound on Howard Road.

Investigators say Vargas was speeding while turning through the intersection, before losing control of the vehicle. Eventually, the Chevrolet Cobalt left the road and struck a dirt berm.

Police said neither of the female occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. After arriving at the scene, responding personnel declared Vargas and Orozco dead.

Those with further information regarding the accident are encouraged to contact local authorities as soon as possible. At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway.
