5 Men Dead after Head-On Collision near Marina Drive

FRESNO, CA (February 10, 2022) – Sunday, a crash on Marina Drive left Javier Hernandez, Miguel Tijerina, Marcelino Ramirez, John Carlin, and Ramandeep Sran dead.

According to reports, the incident occurred at 4:30 a.m., near the intersection of Millerton Road and Marina Drive.

Officers say the driver of Hyundai crossed into the opposite lane for unknown reasons. As a result, the Hyundai collided head-on with a northbound Honda on Millerton Road.

Due to the impact of the collision, all four men occupying the Hyundai died at the scene.

Meanwhile, one passenger from the Honda, identified as Ramandeep Sran (48), also succumbed to his injuries. Paramedics also transported the Honda driver to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators claimed that none of the men inside the Hyundai were wearing seatbelts at the time.

Furthermore, CHP spokesman Mike Salas said that alcohol is a suspected factor in the collision. Although, Fresno County Officials are still currently investigating the incident.
