DUI Crash near Wright Road Resulted in Major Injuries, Suspect Arrested
SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA (June 2, 2022) – Authorities arrested 19-year-old Javier Angel Bustillos Jr. following a DUI crash Friday evening.
According to the CHP, police and emergency personnel responded to the scene on May 27th, around 11:15 p.m. along Highway 25.
Investigators said Bustillos Jr. traveled southbound in a Ford F150 when he approached the intersection of Wright Road in northwest Hollister.
Afterwards, Bustillos made a left turn and crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lanes. As a result, he collided head-on with a 26-year-old Gilroy woman driving a northbound Toyota Corolla on Highway 25.
In the end, police arrested Bustillos Jr under suspicion of DUI.
Meanwhile, they transported the Toyota driver to a hospital after sustaining major injuries.
