Golf Course Worker Killed in Crash on Monarch Bay

SAN LEANDRO, CA (April 26, 2022) – Authorities arrested Jason McDermott after a hit-and-run on Fairway Drive Monday afternoon.

According to the report, officers responded to the incident around 4:15 p.m. in the area of Fairway Drive and Monarch Bay.

Upon arrival, authorities located the employee unconscious with significant injuries. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital on Wednesday.

Additionally, officers also located a stolen black Ram which was seen by witnesses driving recklessly in the area prior to the collision.

Furthermore, on Thursday, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office filed charges against and arrested Jason McDermott for vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run with injuries.

Moreover, San Leandro Officials continue to investigate the crash at this time.
