24-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Rollover Collision on Northern Avenue

PHOENIX, AZ (May 1, 2023) – Thursday night, Jason Macedo Santana was killed in a rollover accident on 18th Street. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m., near Northern Avenue on April 20th. Per reports, two eastbound vehicles collided and veered off the side of Northern Avenue. First responders arrived and located both vehicles overturned, one with significant burn damage inside. Paramedics transported 24-year-old Santana and another man to a nearby hospital where Santana later died. Meanwhile, another unidentified man was treated for minor injuries and later released. Following preliminary duties, investigators say speed was a likely factor. No further details are public at this time; however, more information will be provided once made available.
