Cops say a creeper who was following a jogger in La Crescenta was under arrest today for allegedly attempting to kidnap two other women in North Hollywood.

The suspect was ID'd as 37-year-old La Crescenta resident Jason Kies. The LAPD somehow came upon him as a suspect, it says, and put him under surveillance, at which point he was caught allegedly tracking a jogger in La Crescenta:

The man's alleged crimes in North Hollywood include a March 22 attempted abduction at 8 a.m. of a woman who just got out of her car at Ben Avenue between Hesby Street and Addison Street, cops said.

At noon that day the LAPD alleges he tried to shoplift and fought off a security guard at an area Marshall's before trying to force a jogger near Tujunga Avenue and Sarah Street into his vehicle at 1 p.m.

After detectives figured out who their guy allegedly was, the LAPD states that they …

… placed Kies under surveillance. He was observed following a lone female jogger in La Crescenta, slowly following her along side streets. Detectives quickly moved to prevent any further acts of violence and took Kies into custody without incident.

It seems that investigators fear there are more victims out there. They say Kies drove a gray GMC SUV, wore a black RVCA baseball cap and sported sunglasses during his alleged spree.
