23-Year-Old Passenger Dies in Single-Vehicle Collision near Mohave Street

PHOENIX, AZ (November 28, 2022) – Early Monday morning, Jasmin Garcia Romero was killed in a solo-car accident on 16th Street.

Police responded to the scene around 3:30 a.m., near Mohave Street on November 21st.

According to police, the driver of a vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree. Upon impact, the 23-year-old passenger later identified as Romero, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Meanwhile, medics took the driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment of serious injuries. Following preliminary duties, police are considering impairment as a potential factor.
