Soulful Portland singer/songwriter Jarrod Lawson hasn’t done a ton of livestreams since the start of the lockdown — this is only his second. Not only is the wait worth it, but the cause is good:
“100% of every ticket sale will be matched dollar for dollar by URSA Live and benefit music education nonprofit, Little Kids Rock. Funds raised will support the expansion of music education programs across the country. To learn more about Little Kids Rock’s work, visit littlekidsrock.org.”
An ever-present on the Portland jazz scene, Lawson’s website reads: “Ever since Lawson released his eponymous debut album in 2014, the smokey voiced singer-songwriter and virtuoso pianist has been sending positive ripples around the globe with his powerful message music.”
