The popular Melrose Avenue store JapanLA celebrated its 10-year anniversary with the Super Kawaii Food Art Show. The theme for the show came after owner Jamie Rivadeneira noticed that the cute food posts on the shop's Instagram always receive the most likes and shares. “Our customers love cute food,” Rivadeneira says. The event features artists including Paul Frank, Naoshi, Camilla d'Errico, Crowded Teeth, Luke Chueh, and Girl Skateboards x Gudetama. Food trucks Okamoto Kitchen and the Ridges Churro truck were parked out front to keep guests' bellies full of cute food. All photos by Shannon Cottrell
