Update: The LAPD today said only that “Choi has returned home to her family.” First posted at 8:06 a.m. Tuesday. Headline has changed.
Cops this week were searching for a missing Koreatown teenager.
Though there was no apparent evidence of foul play in the disappearance over the weekend of 19-year-old Janet Ji Young Choi, her family “is extremely worried and concerned for her safety,” according to an LAPD statement.
Here's what we know:
Choi was last seen at her home in the 4900 block of Maplewood Avenue about 11:50 a.m. on Saturday, cops said.
She was supposed to attend art school on Saturday but never showed, according to the department.
The teen is 5 feet, 3 inches, and 90 pounds, police say.
