Eric Matthew Martinez Arrested Following Fatal Pedestrian Crash near East Eastwood Drive

ANAHEIM, CA (April 26, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, a hit-and-run crash on North East Street left Jana Goulding Dead. The incident happened on April 22nd, at around 1:00 a.m., near the 700 block of North East Street. According to reports, Goulding was walking in the area when she was struck by a vehicle, driven by Eric Matthew Martinez. The impact of the collision left her with serious injuries. Following the crash, Martinez fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Authorities responded to calls from dispatch regarding the accident on North East Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Goulding lying at the scene. Medics transported her to a local hospital for treatment. At the hospital, officials pronounced 44-year-old Jana Goulding dead, due to the extent of her injuries. It was later reported that Martinez was high on meth at the time of the crash. After he struck Goulding, he also hit several gates and damaged several homes. Officers later found and arrested 24-year-old Eric Matthew Martinez, at around 9:10 a.m., at the 1400 block of East La Palma Avenue.
