72-Year-Old Pedestrian Dead after Semi-Truck Crash near Indian School Road
BUCKEYE, AZ (July 31, 2023) – Wednesday morning, James Runge lost his life in a parking lot accident near 196th Avenue and Indian School Road. The incident happened on July 26th, around 9:30 a.m., at Fry’s grocery store near 196th Avenue and Indian School Road. According to reports, 72-year-old James Runge, was walking in the parking lot when a semi-truck struck him. The impact of the collision left Runge with serious injuries. Following the crash, paramedics arrived at the scene and transported Runge immediately to the hospital. At the hospital, officials pronounced James Runge dead, due to the extent of his injuries. Additionally, the driver of the semi-truck remained at the scene and he cooperated with the responding authorities. Police stated that the driver was not suspected to be impaired at that time.
