27-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Single-Vehicle Collision near Carmel Creek Road

CARMEL VALLEY, CA (August 19, 2022) – Thursday afternoon, James Ray Allen II was killed in a solo-car accident on Sherwood Road.

The collision happened around 4:00 p.m., at the 12200 block of Carmel Country Road near Carmel Creek Road. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, Allen was driving northbound in his pickup-truck when he struck a tree in the center divider. Emergency crews arrived and pronounced Allen dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, police closed down both lanes of the roadway for cleanup and preliminary duties.
