45-Year-Old Victim Pronounced Dead after Auto Accident near Avenue R

PALMDALE, CA (April 7, 2022) – Friday morning, James Llewellyn was pronounced dead after a two-vehicle collision on 25th Street.

According to Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, the crash occurred sometime before 5:00 a.m., on East 25th Street near Avenue R.

Based on their preliminary investigation, investigators say 45-year-old Llewellyn was heading west in a black 2017 Ford Focus. He made a right turn onto 25th Street East, from a red signal, before immediately making a U-turn in front of a black 2016 Toyota Camry that was headed north on 25th Street East.

There, the Camry traveled through the signal on either a yellow or green light, and collided with the driver’s side of the Focus. Due to the impact of the collision, medics pronounced the Ford driver dead at the scene.

Crews later identified the Ford driver as James Llewellyn.

Meanwhile, responders took the driver of the Camry and her passenger who was a minor, to a local hospital for further treatment.

Following preliminary duties, neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be a factor in this collision.
