Hit-and-Run Crash near Wall Street Left Bicyclist James Ledford Dead
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 11, 2022) – Thursday night, 72-year-old James Ledford lost his life in a bicycle hit-and-run crash on 61st Street.
The incident took place along 61st and Wall streets around 11:00 p.m., on September 29th.
According to reports, the events leading to the crash remain unknown, but a vehicle struck the bicyclist and instantly fled the scene. The impact of the collision left Ledford with serious injuries.
Responding officers arrived and pronounced 72-year-old James Ledford dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, police described the vehicle as a white commercial panel van with a roof rack and a storage tube or box on the roof. The vehicle may also have front-end damage.
The city of Los Angeles has set a reward of up to $50,000 for evidence related to the resolution of the fatal hit-and-run.
