Pursuit Ends in Deadly Crash near Workman Mill Road

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 8, 2021) – Wednesday, a car crash following a police pursuit on the 60 Freeway in the City of Industry left James Dringenberg killed.

According to the reports, the incident occurred around 3:00 p.m., near South Workman Mill Road.

Initially, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officers were in pursuit of a 2019 Nissan Sentra. The suspects inside the vehicle were wanted for armed robbery.

In addition, the Nissan was driving the wrong way on Workman Mill Road. As a result, the suspect vehicle collided head-on into a freight-liner big-rig.

Due to the impact of the crash,  27-year-old James Dringenberg, died at the scene.  Meanwhile, the driver, identified as Daisy Jerez, sustained major injuries.

The driver of the freightliner only received minor injuries and paramedics treated him at the scene. Although, their identity has not yet been provided.
