56-Year-Old Bicyclist Dead after Fatal Collision on Oracle Road

TUCSON, AZ (August 19, 2022)- Sunday morning, a hit-and-run bicycle collision on West Grant Road claimed the life of James Charles Ramsey.

The incident occurred on August 7th, at around 5:30 a.m., near the intersection of West Grant Road and North Oracle Road.

According to reports, Ramsey was riding his bicycle along the road when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the involved vehicle then fled, without rendering aid to the injured cyclist.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after and transported Ramsey to a local hospital for treatment of severe wounds. It was there that 56-year-old Ramsey was pronounced dead on Tuesday, August 16th.

At this time, authorities are still looking for the driver of the involved vehicle that struck Ramsey. Witnesses to the crash are encouraged to contact Tucson Police as soon as possible.
