Multi-Car Crash on 43rd Avenue Left 55-Year-Old Man Dead

PHOENIX, AZ (January 3, 2022) – Thursday night, a multi-vehicle crash on 43rd Avenue claimed the life of James Cates.

The accident occurred at about 9:30 p.m., on the southbound lanes of 43rd Avenue.

According to reports, the driver of a red automobile was seen traveling northbound on 43rd Avenue. For reasons unknown, it then collided with a white truck traveling westbound on Buckeye Road.

The impact of the collision pushed the red vehicle into a tan vehicle. Shortly after, 55-year-old James Cates was pronounced dead by medics at the scene.

At this time, the cause of the collision is still under active investigation.
