The James Beard Foundation announced the second round of winners, naming the Restaurant and Chef awards last night at Lincoln Center. Tom Colicchio (Craft) was named Outstanding Chef, beating out L.A.'s Suzanne Goin (Lucques, AOC, Tavern). The award for Outstanding Restaurant went to Daniel Boulud's Daniel, and New York City's Marea was named Best New Restaurant.

Timothy Hollingsworth (The French Laundry) was named Rising Star Chef, and Nicole Plue (Redd in Yountville) was named Outstanding Pastry Chef. Keith McNally (Balthazar, Lucky Strike, Minetta Tavern) was named Outstanding Restaurateur. And the award for Best Chef Pacific went to David Kinch of Manresa, beating out Matt Molina (Mozza) and Michael Cimarusti (Providence).
