Possible DUI Collision on Peach Avenue Left 31-Year-Old Jaime Martinez Arrested

FRESNO, CA (December 15, 2021) – Authorities arrested 31-year-old Jaime Martinez after a possible DUI accident on Peach Avenue Sunday evening.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Peach and Olive avenues.

As per police reports, Jamie Martinez drove recklessly in the area before he crashed into a permanently closed shop.

Martinez got out of his car and started running after the incident when a witness tried to stop him.

CHP later discovered Martinez in a drunken state, at a local Walmart, where police conducted a sobriety test.

Furthermore, at the time of his arrest, Martinez was reportedly on felony probation for a prior hit-and-run crash and DUI.

Officers eventually announced that he would face new charges of hit-and-run and DUI. At this time, Fresno police are investigating the collision.
