Two Pronounced Dead after Auto Collision near South Acacia Avenue

COMPTON, CA (May 3, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, Jadelynn Kwok and Michael Fiorillo were killed in a hit-and-run crash on 91 Freeway.

The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of the freeway just west of Acacia Avenue.

Following preliminary investigations, authorities reported that a Honda driver struck the left side of Fiorillo’s Toyota 4-Runner. The impact pushed the Toyota right, across the lanes and into the dirt shoulder where it struck a pole.

Due to the impact, Fiorillo and his passenger suffered life-threatening injuries.

Medical personnel arrived and eventually pronounced 18-year-old Kwok of El Monte, and 24-year-old Fiorillo of Huntington Beach, dead at the scene.

Moreover, the Honda driver fled the scene before authorities arrived. California Highway Patrol officers encourage anyone with information regarding the suspect driver to contact local authorities.
